The Hancock

This is one of the cannons the British were looking for in their ill-fated mission to Concord. It and the others were hidden in the new plowed field of Bartletts farm. Only two of the cannons still exist, known as the Hancock and the Adams, after the two fanatic leaders the British were hunting at the time.

Minuteman at Dusk

The Concord Minuteman stands on the "American side" of the Old North Bridge, facing it. The minuteman was sculpted by Daniel Chester French, and represents Isaac Davis, who led the Colonial attack at the bridge and was the first to die there. He wears no uniform and stands beside his plow, underscoring his civilian status.

North Bridge Obelisk

This monument commemorating the Battle of Concord was erected in 1836 on the Monument Road side of the Old North Bridge.

Grave of the British Soldiers

This stone memorializes the graves of two of the three soldiers who were kill at the North Bridge during the Battle of Concord on April 19, 1775. The quote is from a poem by James Russell Lowell, written in 1849: "They came three thousand miles, and died, To keep the Past upon its throne; Unheard, beyond the ocean tide, Their English mother made her moan."

Brons-Large

This is me, back in the World Bender days. I haven't changed much. The hat has a hole worn in it; there's a little white showing up in the beard and mustache; and I don't have the hair wrap any more. But otherwise that's pretty much still me.
